Front: A pen-and-ink drawing signed "Anton Hoffmann München", Hoffmann (1863–1938) was a well-known Munich illustrator, especially recognized for Bavarian genre, hunting, and folk-life scenes, and he produced numerous postcard designs in this style. The image is a comic mounted postilion in old-style uniform and a horn-topped hat, blowing a coiled brass posthorn while seated on his horse. The posthorn was the traditional emblem of the postal service across German-speaking lands for centuries (it still appears on Deutsche Post/Bundespost livery today), so it's an apt, slightly whimsical symbol for a stamp collectors' gathering, evoking the romantic, pre-industrial age of mail-coach delivery that philatelists' events liked to celebrate.

Back: Printed "Offizielle Postkarte | 22. Tagung des Bundes Deutscher und Oesterreichischer Philatelisten-Vereine, 4.–7. Juli 1924" ("Official Postcard | 22nd Congress of the Federation of German and Austrian Philatelic Societies"). This is the same Munich event as the previous card 30. Deutscher Philatelistentag, (dates match almost exactly: 3–7 vs 4–7 July 1924), just labeled by the federation's own meeting count ("22. Tagung") rather than the traditional national "Philatelistentag" numbering ("30. Deutscher Philatelistentag"), two different numbering traditions for the same gathering, which is common in German philatelic-club history.
