32nd GERMAN PHILATELIST'S DAY
(4th/8th Aug 1926)

BACKGROUND: This series of four postcards was published to commemorate multiple events: 32nd German Philatelist Day, the 3rd Bundestag German Philatelist Association and the 2nd West German Postage Stamp Handler Day which took place in Dortmund from 4th to 8th Aug 1926.

The cards can be differentiated by the pre-printed value stamp:

All of the cards have the same six line inscription in the top left-hand corner on the front of the card:

Fest=Postkarte | zum | 32. Deutschen Philatelistentag | und | II. Westdeutschen Briefmarkenhändlertag | Dortmund, August 1926".

SPECIAL CANCEL: There was a special cancel used at the show as below:

The example below is a reprint, not the original version. There is an extra inscription on the bottom left-hand edge of this card which reads "MICHEL-Nachdruck zur NAPOSTA '93 in Dortmund vom 19.-23. Mai" - 'MICHEL reprint for NAPOSTA '93 in Dortmund from 19.-23. May'. This inscription is not found on the original card. Other than this the card is the same as the original.

The following example is a postally used PP90-C-2 complete with Airmail labels and red, rectangular 'Mit Luftpost befordert | Postamt 2 - PANKOW (Main)' slogan. The card was sent from DORTMUND on 4th Aug 1926 during the exhibition.
