BACKGROUND: This official postcard features an image of "Father Jahn" the father of German Gymnastics, as well as the German Gymnastics official logo. The card was published by 'Lithographie und Druck von Richard Müller' of Chemnitz. This particular example has both of the official stamps, Michel 444 and 445, that were issued in 1930 to commemorate the liberation of the Rhineland from the occupying forces, following the end of the first world war.
