ERSTE BRIEFMARKEN AUSSTELLUNG MIT K.d.F
1st STRENGTH THROUGH JOY STAMP EXHIBITION
(8th/10th Jan 1937)

BACKGROUND: There were two printed-to-private-order postcards published to coincide with the 1st Strength Through Joy (K.d.F) Stamp Exhibition in Halle/Saale. The two designs are the same except for the value stamp, PP122-C-40 has a 3Rpf Hindenburg Medallion pre-printed stamp, whereas PP125-C-2 has a pre-printed 4Rpf Hindenburg Medallion stamp.

SPECIAL CANCEL: The special cancel used at the event can be seen on the cards shown below. It is inscribed "Erste Briefmarken-Ausstellung mit K.d.F | 9. u. 10.1.37", bears an image of The Five Towers in the Marketplace, and was available only on the 9th and 10th Jan 1937.
