OFFICIAL POSTCARD
THE DAY OF THE STAMP
This postcard was originally published to commemorate 'The Day of the Stamp' in 1940. There were several variations of this postcard e.g. 1941 P241 . The first, P289, was published to commemorate stamp day on 7th Jan 1940. This version is easily identifiable by the inscription 'Tag der Briefmarke 7. Januar 1940.', just below the image of the postman.
There were two designs of special cancellation used on 6th Jan as well as on 'The Day of the Stamp' the 7th Jan 1940:
The first special cancel features a postman blowing his horn with a whip in his left hand. To his right is the logo of the R.d.P (Reichsbund der Philatelisten) and to his left is a ribbon with the date '7.1.1940'. Below the postman is the inscription 'Tag der Briefmarke'. This cancel was used in 29 Cities as follows:
BERLIN, BREMEN, BRESLAU, DANZIG, ERFURT, FRANKFURT (MAIN), FRANKFURT (ODER), GMUNDEN, GÖβNITZ, GREIZ, HALLE, HAMBURG, HANNOVER, KASSEL, KIEL, LEIPZIG, LINZ(DONAU), MANNHEIM, MÜNCHEN, NÜRNBERG, POSEN, REICHENBERG, STETTIN, STUTTGART, SUWALKI, TROPPAU, WEIMAR, WIEN and WIESBADEN.
The second special cancel features an image of a Michel 714, 'REINTEGRATION of DANZIG' stamp with a steel helmet, sword and 'WHW' abbreviation below it. To the left of this image is a 'WHW' Swastika in gear logo, to the right the date '7.1 | 1940' and below it the inscription 'Tag der Briefmarke'. This cancel was used in the following 14 cities:
BERLIN, BOCHUM, DRESDEN, GERA, HALLE, HAMBURG, HANNOVER, KASSEL, KATTTOWITZ, LODSCH, MANNHEIM, MEMEL, STETTIN and STUTTGART.
Of course these cards also exist with other cancellations that are not related to the actual Day of the Stamp.
As well as the official card there were several with additional private printing, as can be seen below.

REICHSBUND DER PHILATELISTEN
There is another version of this card that was issued in March 1940. This version has exactly the same design as the original, however the reverse contains a long text message. The message is headed "Reichsbund der Philatelisten e.V | hauptgeschaftstelle: Berlin-Marienfelde, Kirchste, 60 | Postcheckkonto: Berlin 82460", followed by 17 lines of text and ending "heil Hitler! | gez. Frey stellv, Reichsbundesführer".


INFLA - BERLIN
This second variant of this card is exactly the same design as the original, however the reverse also contains a long text message. The message is headed "Infla-Berlin EV | Lieber Vereinskamerad!", followed by 13 lines of text and ending "Infla-Berlin EV | Der Vereinsführer".



NÜRNBURG GROβTAUSCHTAG
Reverse side with 4 lines of text in the top half of the card. Text reads "GROSSTAUSCHTAG | NÜRNBERG | AM "TAG DER BRIEFMARKE" | 10. JAN 1943".
