The fifth Ebert series of postcards appeared in 1931 and are refered to as P192 in the Michel series. This series comprises a total of 35 different cards. Cards of the fifth Ebert series are very similar to the fourth series (they still have the elongated 'e' of Postkarte') but differ in that they now have a 'rope-like' design for the solid line in the address section instead of the original solid line. There is still no 'Lernt Deutschland Kennen!' title.

OFFICIAL POSTAL STATIONERY
WITH PRIVATE ADDITIONAL PRINTS

There are several official P192 postcards with additional private printings as below.

HERMANN E. SIEGER

Source address "HERMANN E. SIEGER | LORCH | Württemberg | Telefon 389 Telegr.t Siegerdienst Lorchwürtt." Among these privately printed cards there can be found some examples that have the company address, but also below the 8 Rpf pre-printed value stamp, is the text "= 6 =".

The reason for this is because the domestic postage rate was dropped from 8 Rpf to 6 Rpf on 15th Jan 1932 and cards which had previously been purchased at 8Rpf were now only valid for use at 6Rpf. This was confusing to some of the employees of Sieger so it was decided to add the "= 6 =" text to remind them that the cards were only valid for 6 Rpf and not the 8 Rpf as they were previously.

P192 cards that were published for domestic usage, but were tolerated for use overeas, provided an additional 9 Rpf of postage was added to cover the 15 Rpf international postage rate.
