BACKGROUND: Card 35-56-1-B5 was issued in Apr 1935 and features a view of the Market square with town hall in Eisleben. The card is inscribed as follows:

1. This first domestically used example was sent by DR. Krause of BERLIN-CHARLOTTENBURG to another doctor, this one located in BERLIN-DAHLEM, on 2nd Jul 1939. The special slogan featured on this example is inscribed "EIGENE VORSICHT BESTER UNFALLSCHUTZ" - 'CAUTION BEST ACCIDENT PROTECTION', which was a widely used safety campaign from the Reichspost.The message on the reverse translates as "Dear Doctor, I ask that no packages be sent to me between July 7th and July 31st, as I will probably be away during this time"



2. The following example was a rural mail (LAND) item from WEISENAU ÜBER FRANKFURT (ODER) to BERLIN on 21st Apr 1935.
