BACKGROUND: This postcard was published in Aug 1935 and extols the beauty of VEGESACK near BREMEN.



The card is inscribed as follows:

"Vegesack bei Bremen, | der schöne Ausflugsort an der Unterweser | Wassersport - Strandbad - Waldreiche Umgebung"

"Vegesack near Bremen, | the beautiful excursion destination on the Lower Weser | Water sports - lido - wooded surroundings"

DOMESTIC USAGE

1. This first postally used example was an Airmail item sent from the Nazi Party Rally in NURNBURG to BREMEN on 12th Sep 1935. As well as the pre-printed 6 Rpf Hindenburg stamp, there is an additional 12 Rpf stamp, which was one of two special stamps released to commemorate the rally.




2. The following postcard was cancelled in HOLTLAND on 5th Sep 1935 and sent to DESHER(?), WÜRTTEMBURG.
